do you really have all that stock or just fictional?

I hope this is for a class or game because that is some horrendous diversification coupled with massive volatility.
Plus, the Tesla bubble is laughably huge.

Oh yeah, it’s a thing at school. you pay $5 to get in and whoever comes out #1 gets everyone’s $5. And I’ll probably sell my Tesla shares tomorrow.

it’s a game.

That’s some crazy leveraging there, unless “cash borrowed” means something else here.

you start with a $500,000 allowance. I assume it would get paid back at the end of the game or something.

It’s a good game to play. My high school economics class required this for a semester-long project. We had to pick a portfolio and justify the stocks, then track performance. This was back when the DOW was below 3,500. That’s how old I am.

never played that but there’s a bunch of annoying ads for it on a lot of games

Neat, just reminded me of a real life friend who went balls deep and leveraged 30 to 1 to buy some GPRO.
It did not end well.

Are you doing a simulated market? In my financial class I’m doing that with $500,000 as well, and I bought Tesla a couple weeks ago, it went and stayed down for about a week and a half, and I stuck with it lol.

I’ve played one of these for an upper level finance class before but with Bonds instead of Stocks. The team that won was the team that lost the least amount of money by taking the least amount of risk. Bond markets are a totally different animal

yup! and Tesla had its best day on the market ever today!

I might not sell it tommorow actually. I won’t unless it dips sharply.

Lol ok. This was in a high level debt-market focused college class.
